A gun battle broke out in the streets of West Baltimore leaving multiple people injured. The residents of the Parkview-Woodbrook neighborhood heard gun shots cut the malaise of a late Saturday afternoon. Three people were struck bullets including a 10-year-old girl who was caught in the middle of the shootout between Reisterstown Road and North Fulton Avenue.
All three victims were treated at local hospitals and were reported in stable condition. It’s unclear what caused the outburst, but local officials were unequivocal in their condemnation of the violence.
“I don’t care what your silly, stupid little beef is. That 10-year-old baby had nothing to do with your beef,” Baltimore Mayor Brandon Scott told the Baltimore Sun. “If your homeboy would go and shoot a 10-year-old baby, you need to recheck your friends. Real men don’t do that.”
