Biography

Henry Roland Barnes, from the time he was in law school, committed himself to using his knowledge and expertise of the law as a tool to help people. He participated in a number of clinical programs that provided pro bono legal representation in the practice areas of criminal defense, domestic relations and also helping people secure mental treatment for family and loved ones. Following his graduation from George Mason University School of Law with a concentration in Criminal Law in May of 2010, Henry was given the opportunity to travel to London to work with Reed Smith, LLP in the practice areas of Shipping Finance and Shipping Litigation. Upon his return to America, he continued working in the Maritime field for the Liberian International Ship and Corporate Registry. As much as Henry enjoyed doing contractual and regulatory legal work, he longed to help ordinary people caught in the confusing and complicated mess of their legal issues, particularly those on the receiving end of a criminal charge. Since June of 2012, Henry has been actively and zealously working towards solving each person’s legal issue with creativity, seriousness, and most of all compassion.

Henry lives in Baltimore County, Maryland with his wife and son, and is a proud member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.
